Sevabharathi Tamilnadu is a movement for Service. It derives inspiration from the profound saying of Swami Vivekananda, ‘Serve Man as the manifestation of God’. Sevabharathi Tamilnadu strives to see that every person who is served, raises himself/herself up to stand on his/her own legs with self esteem, confidence and self reliance.
Our Seva Project is conceived as a wholesome mix of five service dimensions, ie. ‘Pancha Kaarya’. The five service dimensions are Education, Health Care, Self Reliance, Social Welfare and Disaster Management & Rehabilitation. Through the ‘Pancha Kaarya’, Sevabharathi Tamilnadu brings about an all-round development in individuals, families and thereby, our nation.
Sevabharathi Tamilnadu is one of the very few voluntary organisations in the state that specializes in undertaking relief and rehabilitation work after major calamities. The role of Sevabharathi Tamilnadu in the relief work undertaken immediately after the 2004 Tsunami, 2015 Chennai Flood, 2018 Kerala Flood and Gaja Cyclone came in for all-round appreciation. Sevabharathi Tamilnadu set an example in servicing mankind during COVID-19 pandemic.
Sevabharathi Tamilnadu will continue on “Pancha Kaarya” activities during 2021-22 and start focusing on development of remote rural villages through rural service programs and supporting on self reliance project
‘மக்கள் சேவையே மகேசன் சேவை’ என்ற சுவாமி விவேகானந்தரின் உரைக்கு ஏற்ப ‘சேவாபாரதி தமிழ்நாடு’ கடந்த 20 ஆண்டுகளாக சமுதாய சேவை ஆற்றி வருகிறது
1999ல் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட சேவாபாரதி தமிழ்நாடு அறக்கட்டளை, அடித்தட்டு மக்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை உயர்த்தி, அவர்களுக்கு தன்னம்பிக்கையூட்டி அவர்களது வாழ்வில் நம்பிக்கை ஒளியை ஏற்படுத்தும் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிரது.
1999ல் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட சேவாபாரதி தமிழ்நாடு அறக்கட்டளை, அடித்தட்டு மக்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை உயர்த்தி, அவர்களுக்கு தன்னம்பிக்கையூட்டி அவர்களது வாழ்வில் நம்பிக்கை ஒளியை ஏற்படுத்தும் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிரது.
’பஞ்ச கார்யா’ என்ற கோட்பாட்டின் மூலமாக கல்வி, ஆரோக்கியம், சுயசார்பு, சமுதாய நலன், பேரிடர் நிவாரணம் ஆகிய துறைகளில் சேவை பணியாற்றி வருகிறது.
பேரிடர் காலங்களில் வெள்ள நிவாரண பணிகளை மேற்கொள்வதில் சேவாபாரதி தமிழ்நாடு ஒரு நன்கு தேர்ச்சி பெற்ற ஓர் அமைப்பு என்பதை பெருமையுடன் சொல்லி கொள்ள விரும்புகிறோம். 2004 சுனாமி 2015 சென்னை வெள்ள நிவாரணம், 2018 கேரளா வெள்ளம், கஜா புயல் போன்ற துயரமான காலக் கட்டங்களில் சேவாபாரதி தொண்டர்கள் முழுமூச்சுடன் இறங்கி நிவாரணப் பணிகளில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.
