Covid-19 Relief Activities

- The moment Corona began to spread and the world’s attention turned towards us to know what would happen to India. The reason is that in our highly populated country (140 crore of population), it was expected to spread easily and kill millions of people. But India has managed it well, says Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
- While the government effectively did the job of protecting the people on the one hand, on the other hand, many NGOs joined the task and this work became easier.
- Sevabharathi Tamilnadu volunteers had experience of handling disaster relief activities during 2004 post Tsunami and the 2015 Chennai floods and immediately swung into action as soon as the first wave appeared. The services initially started with annadhanam (free food distribution) and then extended to the supply of masks, sanitizer, kabasura kashayam and grocery kits to the needy.
- Sevabharathi focused on providing medical devices in the second wave as the demand for the same was high.
- It is said that there will be a third wave next. To counter this, Sevabharathi is working with the RSS and several other organizations to form a panchayat level committee impart medical self protection training to them and make them a corona-free panchayat.
- We are sure to face infection effectively from all the waves that come from now on, not just the third wave.
கோவிட்-19 நிவாரண நடவடிக்கைகள்
- கடந்த ஆண்டு கொரோனா தொற்று பரவத் தொடங்கியவுடன் பாரதத்தின் நிலை என்ன ஆகும் என்பதை அறிய உலகத்தின் கவனம் நம் மீது திரும்பியது. உலகிலேயே மக்கள் தொகையில் இரண்டாமிடம் வகிக்கும், 140 கோடி மக்களைக் கொண்ட நம் நாட்டில் இது எளிதாகப் பரவி பல லட்சக் கணக்கான மக்களை பலி கொள்ளும் என்று எதிர்பார்த்தனர். ஆனால் பாரதம் அதை அற்புதமாகச் சமாளித்தது என்கிறார் பிரதமர் திரு. நரேந்திர மோடி.
- அரசாங்கம் ஒருபுறம் மக்களைப் பாதுகாக்கும் பணியை திறம்படச் செய்தாலும், மறுபுறம் பல தொண்டு நிறுவனங்களும் இந்தப் பணியில் தங்களை இணைத்துக் கொண்டதால் இந்தப் பணி எளிதானது.
- ‘சேவாபாரதி தமிழ்நாடு’ அமைப்பின் தொண்டர்களுக்கு 2004 சுனாமி, 2015 சென்னை வெள்ளம் ஆகியவற்றை எதிர்கொண்ட அனுபவம் இருந்ததால், முதல் அலை தோன்றியவுடனேயே உடனடியாக களத்தில் இறங்கினர். ஆரம்பத்தில் அன்னதானத்துடன் துவங்கிய பணி, பிறகு மக்களுக்குத் தேவையான முகக்கவசம், சானிடைசர், கபசுரக் குடிநீர், மளிகைப் பொருட்கள் வினியோகம் என நீண்டது.
- இந்த ஆண்டு நிகழ்ந்த இரண்டாவது அலையின்போது, மருத்துவ உபகரணங்களுக்கு தேவை அதிகமாக இருந்ததால், அவற்றைக் கொடுப்பதில் சேவாபாரதி கவனம் செலுத்தியது.
- அடுத்து கொரோனா மூன்றாவது அலை தாக்கும் என்கிறார்கள். அதனையும் எதிர்கொள்ள ஆர்.எஸ்.எஸ். உள்ளிட்ட பல அமைப்புகளுடன் இணைந்து ஊராட்சிதோறும் குழு அமைத்து, அவர்களுக்கு மருத்துவ தற்காப்புப் பயிற்சி அளித்து, கொரோனா இல்லாத ஊராட்சியாக மாற்ற சிறப்பு முயற்சி எடுத்து வருகிறது சேவாபாரதி.
- மூன்றாவது அலை மட்டுமல்ல, இனிவரும் அனைத்து அலையானாலும், நோய்த் தொற்றை நாம் திறம்பட எதிர்கொள்வோம் என்பது உறுதி.
Chennai Flood – Rescue and Relief Activities

- Sevabharathi Volunteers rendered yeoman services in November 2015 Chennai Floods. Around 5,500 volunteers plugged into service. Nearly 1,350 persons were rescued by us.
- About 21.60 Lakh food packets, 12.50 Lakh Water Bottles were distributed to the affected persons. Relief kits were also distributed to 1,75,250 houses.
- We have provided more than 150 Wheel Chairs, Artificial leg for the differently abled persons.

- Kerala Food >> Sevabharathi Tamilnadu mobilized within short time relief materials worth Rs. 5 Crore through and sent through 45 trucks (weighing around 360 tons) on war footing basis.
கேரளா வெள்ளம், கஜா புயல்
- கேரளா வெள்ளம்
கேரளாவில் 2018 ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் பெரும் வெள்ளம் ஏற்பட்ட போது, தமிழகத்திலிருந்து 45 வாகனங்கள் மூலம் ரூபாய் 5 கோடி மதிப்புள்ள 360 டன் எடை கொண்ட பொருட்கள் அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டன. அரிசி 200 டன், பிஸ்கட் 30 டன், தண்ணீர் பாட்டில்கள் 2.5 லட்சம், பினாயில் 10 டன், ரூ.1.5 கோடி மதிப்புள்ள மளிகை சாமான்கள் உள்பட பல நிவாரணப் பொருட்கள் இதில் அடங்கும். - கஜா புயல்
கஜா புயலால் நாகப்பட்டினம், வேதாரண்யம் பகுதிகள் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட போது, சென்னையில் சென்னையில் செயல்பட்டு வந்த இரண்டு நடமாடும் மருத்துவ ஊர்திகளையும் உடனடியாக பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளுக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டன. - சுமார் ஒரு மாத காலத்திற்கும் மேல் நாகப்பட்டினம் மற்றும் அது சுற்றியுள்ள பகுதிகளுக்கு சென்று அங்கு மருத்துவ சேவையாற்றியுள்ளது. அதேபோல குடிசை வீடுகளின் மேல் போட தார்பாய்கள், மற்ற நிவாரணப் பொருட்கள் 13 லாரிகள் மூலம் அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டன.
Tsunami – Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation

- Immediately after the Tsunami struck the coastline of Tamilnadu in December 2004, over 3,300 Sevabharathi volunteers plunged into rescue, relief and rehabilitation activities to provide succor to the affected families.
- 115 persons were rescued before the debris could claim their lives. More than 2,500 dead bodies – most of them decomposed – were removed and cremated with dignity. 110 doctors worked round the clock to provide medical aid. Five Ambulances were pressed into service.
- 1,200 female volunteers visited 113 villages that were worst affected and provided trauma counseling to children and adults alike. 116 medical experts along with 6 mobile medical units were roped in from other states to provide medical treatment.
- 15 relief centres were opened and more than 46,000 people were fed within the first one week of the disaster, 26,860 family kits were distributed. A mineral water plant with a capacity of 20,000 liters/day was installed to provide drinking water to 12 affected villages.
- In addition to the temporary shelters it put up for the affected the families, Sevabharathi Tamilnadu has constructed more than 850 permanent houses for the affected families.
சுனாமி 2004 மீட்பு, நிவாரணம்,மறுவாழ்வு
- 2004 டிசம்பர் சுனாமி தாக்குதலில் தமிழகத்தில் கடற்கரை பகுதிகள் பெரிய அளவில் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட போது, 3,300க்கும் மேற்பட்ட சேவாபாரதி தன்னார்வலர்கள் உடனடியாக மீட்புபணியில் இறங்கினர்.
- பல குடும்பங்களை மீட்டு, நிவாரண உதவிகள் பல குடும்பங்களை மீட்டு, நிவாரண உதவிகள் மூலம் மறுவாழ்வு திட்டங்களையும் மேற்கொண்டனர். நமது தன்னார்வலர்களால் 115 பேர் உயிருடன் மீட்கப்பட்டனர்.
- 3,600 சடலங்களுக்கு அவரவர் சமுதாய முறைப்படி இறுதிச்சடங்குகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு 850க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நிரந்தர வீடுகள் கட்டிக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
